It is also beneficial to employers and employees on the job and in the workplace, creating a safer environment and a more confident staff and workforce. That is why we offer different types of group CPR training. **But HOW do you get your staff or yourself certified?** This article will provide an overview of the different types of group CPR training available through Golden State CPR to help you choose the best option for yourself and your workplace. ## ONSITE Group CPR Training and Certification ### Choose from two different curriculums: ![Basic Life Support Textbook - Golden State CPR Shop](https://www.goldenstatehealthandsafetysolutions.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Imported_Blog_Media/Basic-Life-Support-1.png?width=582&height=733&name=Basic-Life-Support-1.png) **American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support Provider** Our AHA Basic Life Support class covers in detail Adult, Child, and Infant CPR. Students will learn the basics of how to use an automated external defibrillator (AED) and how to perform basic maneuvers to relieve choking in infants, children, and adults. The course lasts approximately 3 hours and consists of video-based training, instructor lecture, hands-on skills, and a written test. ​Students will receive an American Heart Association CPR/AED card at the completion of the course.   **American Red Cross (ARC) Basic Life Support**​ The purpose of the Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS) course is to ensure that healthcare and public safety professionals have the knowledge and skills necessary to respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies. The course emphasizes active, hands-on learning and uses scenario activities to help participants learn how to provide CPR, use an AED, and relieve an obstructed airway for adult, child, and infant patients. The BLS program is available in two delivery formats: classroom (instructor-led) and blended learning, featuring online simulation learning followed by an in-person skills session. ![](https://www.goldenstatehealthandsafetysolutions.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Imported_Blog_Media/redcross-removebg-preview.png?width=262&height=167&name=redcross-removebg-preview.png) ### Choose from 2 different course delivery options: **ONSITE Training & Skills Assessment:** - 3 hour course taught at your company’s location for up to 60 people. - Instruction is first delivered by video and all questions are answered by one of our highly qualified instructors. - This is followed by a live CPR demonstration by your instructor and then each student is given time to practice administering CPR on a mannequin until the skill is mastered. - Each student must pass a multiple choice test and CPR skills assessment before the end of the class to receive their certification. - Cards are normally issued within two days of class completion.
